Empowering Students in the Math Classroom
Thursday June 5, 2025 1:00pm - 1:50pm MDT
Unlock the true potential of your students by immersing them in the process of "doing mathematics." You’ll learn to foster a classroom community centered around student thinking, where rather than passively watching or being told what to do, students will dive into mathematical concepts and procedures by engaging in essential mathematical practices. You'll learn how to begin creating opportunities for students to share their work, engage in meaningful discussions, and synthesize their learning as a class. Join us to transform your math classroom into a dynamic learning community where students thrive by doing mathematics. Empower your students to become confident, resilient problem solvers who see the beauty and power of mathematics in their everyday lives.
