Davis District R&R Conference 2025
Friday June 6, 2025 10:00am - 10:50am MDT
Social stories are excellent resources for elementary learners and students with Autism and ADHD. Social stories can help students understand social norms, help learn new routines, learn about safety and boundaries and promote self-awareness and self management. In this course you will learn what they are, how to use them and how to write social stories specific to your students and their needs. All attendees will also receive a copy of a social story to take back to your classroom. We will go over the basics of what a social story is and how to create one. I will provide demonstrations on how to teach this to our learners. Teachers will then be given social scenarios and will work in groups to create their own social story they can take back and use in their classroom.
