Early Elementary teachers: Teaching can feel like navigating a river—some days flow smoothly, while others bring unexpected rapids. This session will equip teachers with a behavioral toolbox to confidently respond to challenges and recognize the impact of their interventions. We’ll reframe behavior as an outcome, showing how small, intentional actions create a multiplier effect in shaping student success. Teachers will learn four key strategies they can apply immediately: Planned Ignoring, The Premack Principle, One-Minute Skill Builders, and Non-Contingent Reinforcement (NCR). We’ll also cover Active Proximity and Nonverbal Cues to prevent disruptions. If time allows, we’ll discuss documenting interventions and self-care strategies to help teachers leave challenges at school. Through real-world examples and interactive scenarios, teachers will gain confidence, practical tools, and a renewed sense of control—ensuring they can steer even the toughest classroom waters with success!
